Cancelled service, Overdue bill and Preauthorized payment

Hi, I cancelled my service almost two months ago and I was fairly certain I paid out my bill. I just received a notice that my last bill hadn't been paid, so I set up pre-authorized payment to handle it after receiving the notification. It's telling me that I have until late august to make the payment.

Will my newly establish pre-authorized payment be charged to handle this late bill, or will it simply accrue fees? If it will be sufficient, when can I expect the payment to be made?

Or, will I have to go into a koodo location to make this payment?

How did you cancel your service?
Did you call in and canceled or ported your number to different provider?
Pre authorized payment usually kicks in after the full billing cycle. So, it would be better just make final payment now if you canceled your account already.

You can log into your self serve account for 90days after you canceled your account. You can check the status and how much remaining you have left and what it for (tab, overage ...etc)

Normally after you cancelled, there would be another final bill. That one should still show up in your selfserve.

I don't think setting a pre-authorized payment now is possible as you closed your account. You could use a credit card to pay the outstanding amount. I believe you could also pay at a Koodo kiosk.

I decided trusting Koodo to figure their shit out after I transferred service to another provider was unlikely, and I didn't want to trust that the pre-auth would actually work, so I paid the outstanding amount directly from my bank account online. This should be the end of it.

I would still keep an eye on it to make sure they didnt take the pre-auth and the online banking payment
