Cancelation in the middle of the billing cycle

I am on a month on month service on a BYOD (my phone). If I cancel my service in the middle of billing cycle, do I need to still pay for the whole month? Or the bill is pro-rated to the day I cancel my service?

I am porting my number to a different provider, my billing cycle started today and I may port tomorrow. Hence this question.

Your bill will be pro rated to when you cancelled.

It is prorated. However, Koodo defaults to end month in case proration makes itore expensive by overages happening if you don't have unlimited minutes. You can contact Koodo to have it adjusted to the prorated amount if that happens.

You'll get a final bill as well so be sure to periodically check in self-serve for it.

Thanks for letting know - i have unlimited minutes on my plan but it makes sense to keep an eye out still :)
