HI, I have a monthly $50 Canada- wide and my wife has a prepaid Base Plan $15 Unlimited Messaging with a $25 talk booster Canada Wide Add-on with Koodo. Both of us have Toronto phone number. If we travel across or reside somewhere else in Canada does the price (rate/min) will be changed. In other word is there any zone changing , long distance & roaming or any other charges when we travel across country? If not, any call within Canada, would be considered a local call. If yes, when we reside somewhere out of Toronto do we have to change our numbers to a local number for not paying more? Thanks, Reza

Hi there,

When it comes to having a Canada wide calling plan, you don't need to worry about getting charged for roaming or extra fees when traveling across county. No matter where you are in Canada you are covered when it comes to extra fees, that's the beauty of having a Canada wide plan, it really is Canada wide.

As far as someone else making a phone call to you, if they don't have long distance on their plan, they will be charged for long distance when you are in a different local calling area. For you it will be treated as a regular incoming call. So if you have a plan that doesn't have unlimited calling it will just go against your day time minutes. When it comes to changing your phone number when you move, that would be entirely up to you at that point, it doesn't have to be changed if you don't want to.

Hope that helps answer your questions :)

Thanks for your answer Daniel ,The answer was exactly what I was thinking and what I wanted to hear. I had a discussion about this issue with a colleague of mine. I was telling him as far as I know Koodo is the most user friendly cell phone company in Canada. It does not have any sophisticated regulation and hidden fees and have a very good community support service. Thanks again .Reza

If the other person is in their local calling area and your number is usually local to them then there is no long
distance charges for them regardless of where you are physically located..

If you have unlimited nights and weekends on a Canada Wide plan then you can call and receive calls Canada Wide without extra charges.
I believe that prepaid nights and weekends is local only of I'm not mistaken. If you're in your local area and someone calls you from outside that area there are no additional charges during that period.
