I can not enable data notifications. When I turn them on and click update, if I check back on the data notifications tab, the data notifications have changed back to off. Why can't I turn data notifications on?

Hi there Aloe...

Afer you click UPDATE to save changes, you get a message on a GREEN box saying: "Your data notifications are: ON You will now receive data notifications via text message."

Meaning that your data alerts were turned on... Yes, if you go back to the same place, it will display that is off, just disregard that since changes were already saved.

And if you're not sure, you can always call Koodo at 611 from your Koodo phone or 1-866-995-6636 from any other line. Choose option 5 for customer service and ask them if the notifications are on. If they are, great, if not, they can activate them.

Thanks for the replies. The green box does change to saying notifications are enabled, but whenever I navigate back to that section the green box reverts back to reading "Your data notifications are: OFF
You will no longer receive data notifications via text message"

If this is the default message, surely it must also confuse people who wish to disable the notifications, because they would go to that section and it would say notifications were off already, when they werent.

Also - if I phone koodo to ask about the data notifications, will I get charged? I was going to call, but there is a list of charges for changing things over the phone?

When you call customer service is a free call, there are fees what apply when the representative does something in you behalf, pretty much everything is possible on Self Serve... But given the fact that you are having this issue, You could always get in contact with them, expose your case and double check if those notifications are ON or OFF.
