I have a used Koodo CDMA Blackberry 8530 that I don't want anymore. I'd like to know if it has any market value? Can anyone else use it? Even if it can only be used in the Koodo network, could anyone buy it and activate it with Koodo?

I do not want a trade-in, I don;t need a new phone. I just want to sell it cause I'm leaving the country and will close my account with Koodo.

Well... the phone is quite old and can't be used on prepaid. Worse, the CDMA network is being shut down by the end of 2015 so eventually it's gonna be a paperweight. You might want to throw up an ad on Kijiji or eBay because I know somebody might be able to use it for the next year or so.

It will be shut down at the end of 2014, not 2015. The point is the same though, it will be a paperweight soon :).

According to a leaked internal memo obtained from TELUS, the document revealed that their CDMA network will be completely shut down by 2015, though no official date has been set. Many suggest the end of 2015 or close to it because the initial report came out in mid to late September 2013. A number of reputable news agencies also corroborate this fact.

OK, so if I throw up an ad to sell it and anyone is interested, do I tell them that it can be activated and used only in the Koodo network? Can they use it with another company? Will Koodo accept this phone to be used by someone else or will they force them to buy a new phone?

CDMA phones are locked to the original carrier permanently. Koodo won't force anyone to use HSPA until the CDMA network in the area is shut down.

Keep in mind that Sasktel has already shut down CDMA across all of Saskatchewan and TBaytel is in the process of shutting down their CDMA network in North-Western Ontario, both of which were/are the networks Koodo used/uses.
