You can buy it outright for $550, or you can do a Tab and get $150 off the price of the phone and get a no fixed term awesome rate plan where they pay 10% of your rate plan off the Tab.

You will also have to unlock the phone after purchasing it. Try cellunlocker.net or ottawapc.net

Good luck finding one right now, chances are your going to have to wait a bit till certain kiosks get more. They sold out within a few hours this morning. Call around you might get lucky if you live in a smaller town.

Thanks , so I should be able to just walk in and buy one for 550 without even activating it?

Keep in mind that you have to be a customer of Koodo (Have an active account)

I tried to do that at the Eaton Centre in Toronto this morning. They gave me some excuse that I couldn't buy it prepaid even though it says "only available in store" on the website. They said the Z10s are only for activations only. (I assume it's because they make more money on activations)

At the price Koodo is selling it I don't blame them for selling to koodo customers with a plan only, at least for the first batch or 3

Yeah considering how hard it was to get iPhone 5s (and nano sims) and even S III for the first few batches this doesn't surprise me either, and with Koodo selling it outright at the lowest price that just increases the demand. Might as well service people who are staying with your company first before the scalpers.

Ya by the sounds of it it's sold out at Koodo everywhere. Let's just hope BlackBerry hurry up with a new shipment ASAP. Either that or win one from Koodo's contest.

The store in Dufferin mall had one, but they wouldn't sell it without a plan. Eaton center was sold out. :( I'll try again in a few days, with a vague hope that koodo will change their policy.

Doubtful during the first few weeks but always worth a shot

Also, be sure to factor in the unlocking cost ($50 with Koodo and only if you have had your account open for at least 3 months and in good standing, or through a 3rd party). Also check out whether an unlock is available yet.

So when you add the outright price, unlocking, and shipping, it may not be such a great deal. Though, I'm assuming that your friend may just want to get the phone before it's released in the US in which case the cost isn't the motivator.

Also if your sending it to someone to use in the US make sure you unlock it before you send it. It recently has become illegal to unlock phones in the US, so your friend might have trouble getting an unlock code sent to him in the States.

KID, to my knowledge it's only illegal to unlock them if they are actually from american carriers.

If any of you guys are near Sherbrooke (QC), the Koodo kiosk in the mall still has stock. I went by tonight and asked out of curiosity. They could sell me one right there, but I'm a customer already. I did not ask if they'd sell outright to a non-customer.

No, I did not buy one. I don't carry $600 around casually while wandering about the mall, lol!

Believe it or not, I usually bring cash when I intend to make superfluous purchases (like cellphones!). Seeing the $20s leave your wallet while buying something your life doesn't depend on is quite the deterrent. I use my debit card for everything else (groceries, gas, etc) but gadgets are paid cash for this reason. You see your stress level rise and you *seriously* reconsider the purchase when a fat pallet of dough's in your right hand.
