I have three iphones 4's that I want to upgrade, but I don't live anywhere close to a koodo kiosk. Is there anyway that I can do this online or do I have to visit a kiosk to do so?

Hi Paula,

You are able to order a phone online! Go to this link and check out the phones and see which ones interest you. Let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you! Would we still be able to use our old phones while we wait for our new ones in the mail, or would they be deactivated right away?

What's going to happen is your phone will be shipped with a new SIM card, once you receive the phone, you will go into self serve and enter the new SIM card number, then put in the sim card to the new phone. Only once the change is made in self serve will your old phone stop getting network access.

I'm assuming that you lose all of your information and pictures as you switch phones, is that correct?

No. Nothing happens to your old phone. All you're changing is the SIM card. You'll still be able to access everything on it.

Activating your new phone will NOT automatically erase the data on your old phone, but you will have to transfer the data from the old phone to the new.

You will have to check the type of phone your currently have against what you choose for upgrading, and then research "migration" or "data transfer", as the tools will differ.

If push comes to shove in terms of your new phone selection, if you are happy and familier with iOS, I would personally continue with newer Apple models for ease of transition.

When I go to add the phone to my cart, it tells me that I have to choose a store. When I choose a store it gives me directions to one and I can't find any further options, does this mean that I have to go there to purchase it?

Unfortunetly the iPhone's are currently in-store only. You will need to go to a kiosk, Wal Mart or Bestbuy to get one activated. Use this link to see if there might not be a Koodo retailler near you that you might of not been aware of.

Hi it's Paula again, I am looking to get the iphone 5s 16 GB, will I still have the same contract when I get a new phone? I believe it's $60 a month

Nothing has to change in your plan. Just the tab amount (the monthly payment that goes towards the cost of the phone). Currently in my province the phone is $0 down and $15 a month on a current plan.

Hi Paula,

Here is a cost estimate of getting the iPhone 5S, do not though that you will pay a lot less for the phone if you use the regular tab option compared to the no-tab or tab-plus option.

If you have any more questions, please let us know.

Thank you!! If I get a new plan, would that be effective immediately or do I have to set it up manually like the phone activation when it arrives?

I believe it would be effective immediately as you already have an account with Koodo

Hi Mathieu, when I checked my self serve, it told me "You have a negative Tab balance. Before you can upgrade your phone, you'll have to pay your current Tab balance of ...". Is it so high because I just ordered a new iphone? I won't have to pay this all at once before I set up the new one I just ordered do I??
I assume that it means I have to pay the Tab of over -$200 before I get my NEXT phone, not the one I just ordered? And this should be paid over the next two years correct?

Best to deal with customer service directly on this one since they will have the details of your account since you apparently have multiple phones.

If you ordered a new phone, then that new tab is probably already entered into the system. For your next transaction, the system by default may want you to clear that before changing another phone.
