Can my father (who's name is also on my account) get the same phone and plan as me?

So currently my account is under my own name, and my fathers name. His contract just finished with bell so he is looking to get a new phone and plan. He's quite impressed with my current plan and phone, so he is wondering if I could just add another line to my account for himself, port his Ontario number over and have another copy of the same plan i have (which isn't listed on koodo's website) the plan i have is $55 a month for 5gb and unlimited call/text, its a Manitoba/Saskatchewan plan.

Hi Mat. Plan availability is dictated by the area code of the phone number. If you have an account with an SK/MB billing address and phone number, you can add a second line with a new MB/SK number for your dad. Then, your dad can port his Ontario phone number to Fongo for $25 one-time fee and get free call forwarding for life (assuming the MB/SK number is from a major city).

Once you port the Ontario number to Koodo, only Ontario/Rest of Canada plans will be available for that line.

He will not be able to pick up the same plan as you. He will have to choose from the current list of plans for SK/MB. The most similar plan (it could be exactly the same but with a lower price) would be $48/month, Unlimited Talk and Text, 5GB data.

@Allan, you're missing an important detail. OP wants an MB/SK number with an Ontario phone number. As I mentioned in my comment, an MB/SK plan will be available to a line with an MB/SK number, and an Ontario number will only show Ontario/Rest of Canada plans.

OP's plan at $55 per month might include some sort of tab small.

Yes, I was just letting him know he would not be able to get the same plan but have to choose from a current list that may have different plans then what the OP has.
