Can Koodo transfer my existing phone number from another carrier?

If I want to change carriers will Koodo be able to transfer my current phone number?

Yes as long as the account that the other number that you want to use is still available open then they can port that number to Koodo's service. Just go to your local kiosk and they will be able to port the number to your new Koodo account at the time you sign up with Koodo. When the number is ported it will automatically closeyyour old account with your old carrier. Koodo will even unlock your phone from the other carrier to use on Koodo if it's compatible with Koodo's network frequencies.

Yes, but it will depend if the account and number are available. But generally it's not an issue. You just go into a koodo kiosk and they do it for you. You can even keep your current phone and bring it over to koodo so long as you don't have an owing balance with your current company. But you still can if it's paid off.

The number would be available because you would have the number and would be using it at the present time on the carrier your porting from.

And even if you had a balance owing at the "current company", you could still port. So all the information this person said was incorrect and they revived a 5month old thread.
