I was a victim before of a phone that has been reported stolen after using it for a couple of month. So again I bought this iPhone 6 of Kijiji a month ago, i called in kodoo and ask if activating this phone in my account will help prevent the previous owner from blacklisting it for insurance reason, he said yes as its now under my account. Just today this morning I was getting a no service on my account I check the blacklisted sites if it was reported and guess what it's happening again my phone is now blacklisted. WHY IS THAT THE PHONE IS UNDER MY ACCOUNT, I was hoping not to get into this again I paid so much for this and finding out that it's been reported. What should I do? Can kodoo remove that blacklisted phone since it's under my account anyway

Hey Vhey,

I don't like to be the bearer of a bad news but a carrier like Koodo cannot remove a phone from the Blacklist if the original owner of a device reported it as lost or stolen. We recommend buying phones only from websites that offers buyers protection plans as any seller can potentially report a phone as stolen at anytime if they previously used it with their carriers.

Thank you!

Sorry to say this, but you took a huge chance when you bought the phone off of Kijiji, there is a chance this phone was stolen and the person who sold it to you was not truthful from where it came from.  Buying off Kijiji you're taking a 50/50 chance if the person is being truthful or not....
