I would like a medium tab on a an iphone but I don't want to be stuck with a 2 year contract - I may be leaving the country permanently in about 1 year from now. Can I get the tab then in a year pay what's left on the tab. Will my contract then end or will I have some penalty? Are all phones unlocked? Thanks.

Hi Leanne, you certainly can you just pay off the phone (tab) and your final bill and your good to go it's not a contract it's just paid back in payments in a 2 year period. Pay it off whenever you want and then your just paying the bill. (well after 3 months)

To answer your second question, the phone will be locked. However, by that time the new CRTC ruling will have taken effect, so Koodo will unlock it for free (AFTER the end of this year).

Oh I didn't see that part sorry. To add Pixel phones are the only ones that come unlocked from Koodo.

Dec.1 is the exact date where unlocking of phones from their carrier of origin will be free
