Can I keep my $25 a month plan, and get a tab for a new phone ? Don't want to give up my plan, but need a new phone soon.

Yes that plan qualifies for a tab small.

Ok thank you.

Ya sorry John. Looks like minimum is 30. I thought all plans qualified for small. Guess not.

Unless you currently live in Quebec in which you'd be okay with a tab small.

hi Jon,
Current "in-market" rateplans qualified for Tab starts at $35 (tab Small). Were your plan eligible for a Tab before?. If it was a BYOD plan for the start, then you might need to switch to a different plan to get a phone on Tab.

I switched from public mobile to Koodo about a year ago (brought own phone) received an email a few months ago that my spending limit was lifted and was eligible for a tab. Never mentioned that I would have to change my plan.

@Jon: Well, it is part of the Tab system. You would have to pay even more if you want to go for Tab Medium (45) and Tab Large (70+). Also, did  they mention that you could keep your rateplan if you wanted a phone on Tab?

All I was told was that I would have to go up to at least a $35 plan to get a phone on a tab. Not really interested in paying more for a phone plan

If that plan suits your need and you are happy with it, you should keep it. You could buy a phone outright and use it on Koodo network.

Yeah I wouldnt either.  if you are in need of a new device, you can buy it outright from Koodo or from a third party (Staples, Online, etc)
