As far as I recall, these units are locked to the original carrier.

@Saumya according to the Mobile Syrup article about this today, "The purchase of a home phone hub is also required for $40, through both flanker brands [Koodo and Virgin Mobile]".

The reason I asked is, I can get same Koodo's ZTE home phone hub from a friend (Loked to Koodo but for Free) and just want to port my current landline number to koodo homephone SIM (Basically SIM only with bring my own Koodo Device) ?

I don't think you could buy the home phone online without the Hub. They are selling as a package.

You could however, ask a local Koodo store and see if they can do it. I would suggest you call them before going there. Also if you activate in-store, I am not sure if you have to pay a "connection fee of $30" or not. You need to ask them about it also.
