I have a HuaWei P8 Lite, when I inserted  Koodo's sim card, and enabled the first sim card, the phone did recognize the sim card, but it only receives Koodo service sometimes and very weakly. On top of that it doesn't detect my number, I can't dial or text. However on the forum, someone said this model can be used for Koodo. What should I do, do I need to enable something manually?

What are the phone frequencies? Also, what region are you in?

I am currently living in Calgary Alberta, Canada. The frequencies should be compatible with the koodo service. Also before I put my sim card in, the koodo people put their own card in to try the signal, and it worked (4G LTE), but when i try my own card it doesn't work anymore

Supposedly won't work properly unless it's specifically the ALE-23 America's model.

It is a ALE-UL00, and i just checked it says that it doesn't work under any network. Thank you so much! One more question: then why does it receive 4G koodo network sometimes at certain locations?

It might only support certain frequencies, and if the towers in your area only have 1 or the other frequency, then it will pop up briefly but go away once you move out of its range. It's best to get a phone that supports 850/1900 on HSPA (guaranteed service, but no LTE for data) and 1700/2100 (for LTE data).
