As long as you are on a canada wide plan there are no long distance charges for incoming calls, even international calls, although standard airtime usage still applies.

There is no cost to receive all incoming calls while in canada, only airtime usage charges apply. If you have an unlimited plan (canada wide or local (while in your local zone)), that means no cost at all to you.

Keep in mind though if you live in a border town & you connect to US providers towers accidently you will be charged roaming fees.

You can setup your network to only connect to Koodo under network settings. This will $ave you some cash if your phone ever connects to a US carrier.

Great! thanks folks... I was thinking there would be a cost involved even if the call came in to me. Your plans for US calling are not what i need and neither is the texting and that is rather unfortunate.
