Calling a Canadian number in a foreign country

I was wondering if someone could enlighten me about calling abroad. I am wanting to call my boyfriend who is in Scotland, his number is Canadian, as is mine. I have long distance calls on my phone, and he has a plan which allows him to use his phone whilst he is there. Does anyone know if I will be charged if I call him, or will it just be included in my long distance minutes (they're unlimited anyway). Thank you!

You will be charged normally like if he was back home in Canada.  It is no different, because you are calling a Canadian number and any one calling him is not responsible for the fact he is in a foreign country.

He will be charged roaming as per his plan which allows him to use his phone whilst he is in Scotland.

Perfect, his plan is with Rogers which is a feeder company for a contractor back in Scotland so he doesn't have to pay anything extra. Thanks for your help :)
