Going to the USA for a month. and setting up my home VOIP phone to forward all calls to my mobile phone. What addon do I need from Koodo? Text, Data??

Assuming that you're not a prepaid customer since prepaid does t work in the states.

Check here and choose a plan that fits your needs and on the day you leave, text in the appropriate code for that plan.

If you anticipate a large volume of calls, there is a better alternative below. It also solved the prepaid problem if that's what you're using.

Alternative: pick up a burner Tracfone (US only service) and forward your VoIP calls either to Tracfone while in the US or Koodo while in Canada. Have been doing this for years.

Tracfone can call Canada without long distance surcharges, just like your VoIP.

Bob you can forward Canadian calls to a Canadian number and if you have a roaming package it doesn't cost anything extra. I did this the last 2weeks while I was configuring my voip line.
