Call Display - Additional charge?

I have a brochure from a Koodo kiosk that says $35 for 300 min and 300 MB INCLUDING call display, Voicemail etc. When I changed my plan, the cost was $40 PLUS $7 for call display = $47. What is going on?

All the new plans include the features like call display voicemail conference calling etc etc.

so the actual cost of my new plan is $47 ...not the $40 that the internet quotes and not the $35 that the brochure quotes and there is no choice to remove the call display.  Is that correct?

You can remove the caller ID feature.
What plan did you switch to?
If it's a current plan then it's already included.

I switched to a plan with 300 minutes and 300 MB data.  My question is, why did the monthly charge change from the $40 quoted on the "pick your plan" page to $47 noting that the $7 is for the Call Display feature.  I feel like I am paying $17 a month more than the brochure promised.  Is this an error on the brochure, an error on the web page, or am I misunderstanding everything.  Or is the final quote wrong and is my cost actually $40 as the web page quoted before the final page display.

Just go into your self serve account and remove the add-on for it.
If you are still on the older tab plans than yes you would be paying 40 for your 300/300
no need for the caller ID addon, just log in go to the add-ons section and remove it.

I just changed a few minutes ago.  I just want an accurate representation of the cost in case I need to compare to other plans.   Is Mitchell saying that I need to remove the caller id to remove the additional charge but that it will still be available to me in my new plan?

The reason you can't get the price at 35 like was advertised is likely because you are on an older tab structure.
You're still likely paying of a phone that was purchased with that old plan type.
If you want the 35 dollar plan you have to pay off your phone first.

In the meantime, you have access to the 40 dollar plan which is 300 min / 300 mb of data.
You can remove the caller ID add-on to save that $7 a month.

I am not paying for a phone with my plan. I am going to try to remove the $7 extra charge. Will it now charge me the $35 or the $40 ?

It will not allow me to make any more changes until NOVEMBER 15  !  Can you remove the caller id add-on for me please.

am on the phone with them now.  Another frustrating call ... so difficult to get a simple question answered.  I will watch my bill and ... there should be a $40 charge plus taxes on my bill.  I understand my next bill will be high ... the next one should be $40 plus taxes only.  If not, I will be calling to cancel my account.   Am now very frustrated and have spent an entire morning on this.  Sadly.

Keep in mind that plans and pricing change constantly so you could pick up a brochure one day and the next day new plans come out and that brochure is outdated then so it's always best to look at plans being offered online as they are the ones being offered at that time. Oh and also keep in mind that some plans are province specific so always make sure when looking online that you are looking at plans for your province specifically.
