How to set this Samsung S3 (android 4.2.1 ) so my calendar on this smart phone will sync with my desk top home computer. Info from the desk top will sync to the phone but not the other way around. On the S3 when I look at settings then Google. It says "sync" and the arrows rotate but no info on my home computer gets anything.

Not sure if that's even possible(not likely). My suggestion is to contact Samsung for assistance.

I tried Samsung and got no help. This is annoying because I did this with my last years samsung (Galaxy 2). Any other ideas how I can enter data on my mobile calendar then see it on my desktop calendar.

I just have all my devices sync to my online google calendar. Not sure if that works on a desktop though, since I just use an android tablet and smartphone.

I sync with CalDAV. Most email clients will have some sort of support for this. If you use gmail you definitely do. I use outlook personally.

I got this running using my Synology NAS and this app here:https://play.google.com/store/apps/de...

Syncing three calendars with three Android devices and two private pcs. The dev of the app gave me a step by step tutorial which describes how I will have to configure my NAS and the app so it was pretty easy.
