As a Koodo customer with $0 tab balance, and acct in good standing: If I buy a phone from the Koodo website,
1> Do they have to do another credit check?
2>What is the online "Gift"? ......Is it Visa cards?
3>What is required of me once the phone arrives?
4>Is it better to just go to my local "TMS" for the purchase?
5> Is my current plan affected in any way by this purchase?

1. No, but they may check payment history.

2. Gifts are typically not eligible for upgrades.

3. If the new phone requires a new SIM, you'll have to activate it in Self Serve.

4. It's nice to speak to a person and get your phone usually the same day (stock dependant), so this is up to you. I worked at Mobile Shop for a couple of years; they sometimes have system limitations but have great offers.

5. It shouldn't be unless you're on an old Tab system, I know on Tab M you can keep an old plan if it's above $40. The new plans might have something comparable to what you're using so it's never a bad thing to check.
