Buy an OtterBox

You're going to buy a $150-$800 phone, so why not pay $30-$70 and get a case that's going to protect that puppy, and you won't have to buy a new one when it breaks. I am clumsy, and my OtterBox has paid for itself countless times. There are plenty of cheap cases, but one with a silicone and plastic shield are the best.

How is this an idea for Koodo exactly?

There are a lot of people who are going to buy an awesome phone from Koodo. Then they're going to drop it, and ask what can I do. Since Koodo stations sell these, might be worth the consideration. It's one of the plan ahead kind of things.

Otterbox doesn't make their cases for all phones (Ace II X, Nexus 4, few other devices) but yes it is a recommended purchase if they do. They've saved my devices.

Other companies to look for are Spigen with their slim armour line, Ballistic makes excellent protective cases, so does Seidio (I loved their active series on my Nexus 4 and HTC One), Speck, and Case Mate.

I second the SPIGEN Slim Armour cases they offer almost as much protection as the Otterbox cases I've had but are like half the price. My last otterbox defender case was an amazing case but cost me almost $70, I just got the SPIGEN Slim Armor for my Nexus 5 & it cost me $25 & the only protective difference is the lip is slightly not as tall along the edges of the display but it's plenty if dropped on the floor or sidewalk or even parking lots. Also this case doesn't have that CRAPPY screen protector that the Otterbox Defender has but even when I do get a defender the first thing I do is ripped that screen protector out so I can get the full beauty of my display & since the devices have Gorilla Glass they won't scratch anyways, I've always got a case but never a screen protector and all my phones look like they're brand new.... Even the ones I've dropped in parking lots getting out of the car lol.
Otterbox cases are great but I wish they would drop the price a bit.

Or just be less careless. It's worked wonders for me and my $5-$10 cases :)

I usually purchase knock off cases on ebay and haven't had an issue despite dropping my Z10 from my truck on numerous occasions. Although I do have a brand name case, I still got it on ebay. Or Amazon. 10$ usually the max I'll pay for a case unless it has some awesome features.

While I agree Otterbox makes good cases, in my instance AppleCare+ is doing the real protecting while I just have a slim case mostly to protect against cosmetic damage.

When it comes to warranty, nobody comes even close to Apple.

This is true; it's probably the only thing I like about Apple products lol I would love to have the same warranty with a Motorola, HTC, etc.

For what model of phone they only make them for certain popular devices?
