Hey hey!

I broke my phone a few days ago and can't afford a new one. My tab is currently payed out (thankfully) but I need to suspend my account for the time being while I'm inactive and not using Koodo's services. I don't have a warranty or any coverage on it, it isn't lost or stolen. I just need to know how I can keep my account open but the services provided disabled for now.

Thanks in advance!!

Suspending your account still requires that you pay as per normal. There is vacation disconnect, or switching to prepaid for teh 15 a month option. You can pay it every 90 days or less and at least you'd still get to text instead of the disconnect locking out everything for the same price. Then when you're ready you can switch back to postpaid plan if you like.

Just a note.
You can keep your number if you switching to prepaid or switch to vacation disconnect(seasonal hold). But you can't keep your current plan, so you will need to pick a plan that is available at the time when you switch back to monthly/postpaid.

Ask  around amongst your friends. Often folks will have an old, but usable phone collecting dust somewhere which they might be prepared to give you at an exceedingly attractive price!

Or check Kijiji or a local buy sell page on Facebook for your area which I constantly see phones for dirt cheap.
