Bring the prepaid base plans in line with your postpaid plans

Now that all Koodo's postpaid plans include 5PM calling and are all nationwide, please make all base plans 5PM and nationwide as well (excluding the $15 plan, obviously).

Wait, there is more :D

The $25, $35 and $50 prepaid plans are really out of sync with postpaid now. I suggest you change them to plans that are closer to the postpaid equivalents.

For example, add a $25 base plan with 5pm/weekend unlimited nationwide calling,
As well as a $50 unlimited nationwide baseplan...
Might even throw in a "prepaid special": a $35 base plan which has 5pm/unlimited incoming, nationwide of course :)

That way nobody will need to get a headache trying to figure out the differences between prepaid and postpaid... they really seem to be drifting apart these days!

Agree, don't know why prepaid isn't Canada wide.

This is an idea I can wholeheartedly cheer for! Agreed 100% Sophia!

Speaking of prepaid... I'd love to see a graph that would show if prepaid activations have gone up at the expense of postpaid since July 14th! I know Koodo won't share that kind of info, but there had to be some differences...

It's very unlikely this idea will ever be implemented. Phone companies will always prefer to have postpaid customers that's why they make those plan better than prepaid. If you guys looked Rogers announced their quarterly results today and they show they lost a bunch of prepaid customers which actually helped their results look better. No one shed on drop of tear. :-)

I think it's subjective to whom it works for. For instance prepaid in canada doesn't work for me. But it does in the USA. If ppl find value they stay and Koodo wins. If ppl dont find value they leave and Koodo wins.

If it was Canada Wide 5pm evenings and weekend I would be switching to prepaid.

Wait.... does prepaid work with unlimited family calling on the same account?

I think Koodo Prepaid is great right now. It's perfect from travellers and the younger people who want a phone but the parents don't want to pay a huge bill for it. But I agree that if it was more in line - it would be better.
