Is there any way to block a number that continually calls me but never answers the phone?

Koodo cannot do it on their end.

What's your device? There's an App for called "Call Control"

Free on the Android Market--> https://market.android.com/details?id...

8$ on-time price from the Blackberry App World--> http://appworld.blackberry.com/websto...

Thank you, but I don't think that last statement was called for. There are other permissions besides those. Those ones ARE straightforward. Why do they need to pair with my bluetooth devices? Test access to my protected storage? Those are NOT straightforward. I just want to be safe. Nothing wrong with questioning access to my personal information.

Maybe try asking the app creator these questions.

TEST ACCESS TO PROTECTED STORAGE TEST ACCESS TO PROTECTED STORAGEWhy do we request this permission? This permission allows us to check if your SD card is available in order to save information
PAIR WITH BLUETOOTH
call control allows you to make calls from the app. Pairing with bluetooth allows to to use a bluetooth headset to do so.
FIND ACCOUNTS ON DEVICE
Allows sorting of contacts into groups such as facebook contacts, etc.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to block the number. My best advice is to tell that person to stop harassing you or you will call the authorities - I've been there and that helped. Your last resort would be to change your phone number, but I hope it doesn't come to that. Good luck Dani :)

I've looked up the number that has been calling (210-301-0307) and apparently it is some traveling agency scan that has been calling lots of North American mobile numbers. I usually get one or two calls from this number a day.

Have you ever answered the call?

I've tried but no one is ever at the other end. I have also tried calling back the number and it either doesn't go through or results in a busy signal.

Sad to hear this is happening to you, this happened to me as well when I got my first cell phone. These telemarketers have automatic dialers that randomly call numbers until they get an active one. Eventually the calling stopped but if this is causing you a lot of hardship your next best option would be to change your phone number.

Answer phone, there is simply no one there. I'd like to know what THEY get from doing the dialing and then not being there, "Call Ended". My caller is 403.201.0131, a Calgary area code. Not a sales call. Just a bloody nuisance! and Why?

hey
theres really nm that you can do
except downlaod call control and block the number
or just keep screening it yourself
i had somene call me everyday at the exact same time and they would call 3 times in a row, finally sent a text saying stop calling i dont know who you are, they callled a few times after that kept screening thier calls and they have finally stopped calling

The easiest way to get rid of people that are harrassing you is:
1. change your number and do not give to him
do it on selfserve
call customer service say you have been harrassed
2. If the person still harrasses you on changed number report him to RCMP

This is odd that we cannot block a phone number. I could do it on my Fido phone (not even Android). Is this just a limitation of Koodo because advice online for Galaxy Ace says that there should be an option in the Contacts menu (but there isn't on mine)?

Koodo does not have the functionality or the capability to block numbers. The only way it can be done is by downloading an app that allows for this functionality.

HI

I found an option under settings in Samsung Galaxy SII, Goto Settings, then Call, & under Call, there is a call rejection option. Make sure Auto Reject Mode is set to Auto reject numbers. Then goto Auto reject list and u can the number u want to block. Hope this will help.

I have the same problem, only with mine, the call goes through to voice mail and it's always a hang up. Auto Reject won't stop that. I've already tried it.

Other than trying a call blocking app, there's not much that can be done.

for blocking a number.........see answer from
Nabeel Mallick above.... CALL REJECTION IS AVAILABLE TO USE ON YOUR PHONE, if you have a Samsung Galaxy Sll.....& check other answers....to find an APP to download...unfortunately some older phones, no, you cannot block a call from the provider or from an app tho, then you may have to change your number or report to police

Do you get charged for blocking a contact??

Koodo only charges service fees if you call in and have them change something you could do yourself.

Since call blocking is not something they provide, they would not charge for it.
