I have a question.
Is it true: the only phones that can be blacklisted are phones purchased from Koodo.?
Does this mean. That you as a koodo customer can only blacklist a phone you purchased from Koodo. Or. Does it mean you as a Koodo customer. Are bringing your second hand used Koodo phone to Koodo can be blacklisted ?

If the phone you are currently using with Koodo is stolen from you, you can report it stolen via self serve and it will be added to the list of lost or stolen phones. Only you would be able to call Koodo and report it found again.

Koodo has the ability to blacklist any phone you have used on their service. AFAIK, you must have used the phone with Koodo at some point in order for them to blacklist it for you.

That's a good idea.  If the phone is stolen, it can be black listed so it can't be used by anyone.  Kind of like what happened to my ham radio equipment.  I had some equipment stolen and I black listed it so if anyone did end up with the radio, I have a chance of getting it back.  But alas that was four years ago.  I suspect it's long gone by now.

If it truly was stolen in the first place, some people sell their phone then report it stolen and screw the unsuspecting buyer. The phones gps can be tracked to the person using it to find them or the carrier can call or txt message that phone to warn them to phone the carrier to sort things out, as the phone was reported as stolen. Perhaps this will keep sellers honest and save the consumer from being ripped off.
