I cannot register my BB Bold 9700 on the Koodo Blackberry Internet Services page.

I have tried the host table routing option, but I have no idea what message to expect and where it will come from. Plus, how long does it take to get back a message?

Beside the signal bar, do you see 4 dots beside it? Also, do you have a BlackBerry add-on and/or the blackberry version of your plan?

I am not sure, the rep at the Koodoo kiosk registered it, so I am assuming he would have put it on a BB plan or have asked me.

there aren't any dots beside the signal bar

Double check your rate plan to see if it's the Blackberry version. If it isn't, you'll need to call Koodo to get it fixed.

If it is, make sure your data services are on. If they aren't, go into Manage Connections, Mobile Network Options, Data Services ON.

Then do the registeration through the Host Routing Table. Then do a battery pull. After that, you should get a message confirming registeration is successful and you'll be good to go. If not, call Koodo.

You should see this (BB) next to the rate plan name.

That's not a good sign then. But I don't see BB at the end of any of the self serve plans listed.

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just really confused....

Maybe give Koodo a call to confirm then.

I agree with Marcus. I would call to confirm your plan is indeed the blackberry version. They wont charge your for calling

If this is an unlocked blackberry, (i.e. not from koodo) self serve will not recognize it as a blackberry and may not let you choose a blackberry plan. Customer care will waive the service charges in this case, just make sure they're aware of the problem.

Glad to read it's resolved, Michael! Enjoy your Blackberry and have a good day :)
Hello. My name is François. I have the exact same issue. I'm a new customer at Koodo with a unlocked BB Torch 9800. The data plan does not work on the BB. Phone works, and texting works, but I don't have any internet connection. Should I call the Koodo help line to resolve this?

Go to the tcp ip page in the advanced options menu. Make sure the apn is set to bb.koodo.com. if it isn't make it so and then click register now under host routing table (appears when you click the menu button). Then turnthe phone off and back on again. You should get a message almost immediately saying the blackberry has been registered and the data should be working. If it doesn't work, call tech support.
