BlackBerry Internet Service not connected

Ever since sometime last week my BB Bold 9790 has stopped sending/receiving email via the Koodo network. I have data services turned on, and I am able to browse the web, but when I look under Service Status I see that BlackBerry Internet Service has status "Not Connected." The email accounts are all internet mail (gmail, yahoo) and messages are being sent/received when I am connected to wifi.

Has there been a recent change/outage to the BlackBerry Internet Service support?

Those older bb are buuuuhhhhgy. We used to use an app on ours that would restart it (cold reboot) every morning at 3am. I can't remember the name of it but look for it in bb world.

Btw the new bb 10 devices are awesome and you should check them out.
