Since January mistakes have been made on two bills which were eventually worked out calling customer service. My last bill is higher than it normally is and when I called in I was told to turn off my data and that would solve my problem. What kind of advice is this? I am very limited without it. Thinking of changing carriers.

Well if they recommended you turn off data, that means you must have went over your data and that's why you have a higher bill. If you don't want a higher bill with overages, then you should do as they recommend though. Or is that not whats causing the higher bill(s)?

Other ideas are that if you need the data, then check your data usage throughout the month on koodo's self serve page, or set up the data usage limits on your phone.

If you keep your wifi turned on, then you can pick up free wifi from various businesses and schools, which means that you are still connecting to the internet but your data usage will be less
