Billing cycle inconsistency.

My billing cycle has always run from the 11th - 11th. It has not changed since I first became a customer for Koodo. Today, I got a notification that I was cut off from my data, that it had reached my allotted amount. HOWEVER, my usage in my phone says 74MB. My account says 400MB. The billing cycle on my phone and what's on the account are different.

In all the years since I joined Koodo I have chosen to leave my billing cycle as is. Now I have no access and it resets on the 16th. Which is fine, but I want to know why this happened and if I can expect this issue to continue.

Billing cycle were always variant for me. They've never been on the same date. Don't know why it changed.

The amount of data you need to trust is the one on your account.

While bill issue dates can shift, although rarely, for system issues, bill cycle always remains the same.

I would go with what Koodo says your usage is. When do you have the data usage to reset on your phone? Does it match with your billing date?

hi Robelle,
Prepaid customers have a cycle of 30days (which results in some fluctuation in billing date), I believe postpaid customers have a fixed billing date.It has been a fixed date for me in my case also.

I would check your latest pdf bill and see what happened there.

Hey Robelle - from what I can tell by looking at your account, your bill cycle - the date your plan resets - has always been the 17th (16th is the last day). You can verify this by looking at your billing history (current and past bills) in Self Serve - here
And from what I can tell by your account usage meter, you consumed your monthly bucket by yesterday afternoon, which is when it shows the notification text being sent. Your phone may not show an accurate counter if it doesn't reset on the same date as your account.

It has been resolved. Turns out it was a major blond moment and it was explained and made quite clear. I feel silly for not realizing it on my own. Thanks for the support guys!
