Is it possible to put absolute freeze on services usage i.e. no more additional calls, texts, data (other than what was agreed as per service agreement). If my service is for $50 unlimited calls/texts/1GB data, can i freeze additional services usage/charges?

The data block, when you reached limit, does just that for data. Text is unlimited already. The only exception is call minutes.

If you want to go to extreme, I would suggest you go with prepaid. You will be limited to whatever you paid.

Thanks Azure123. Just wondering, apart from agreed monthly bill, can i just make my plan as prepaid to manage my ending bill amount? Reason I ask this is to prevent unintended billing say, erroneous USA calling. All others are can be disabled.

You can change to a prepaid plan, but there is no option to prevent calls to any North American calling plan number (those with a country code of 1). Shock-free data will prevent you going over your data, unless you authorize overage.

@R N: If you want to go to prepaid, create another prepaid account first, then port your postpaid number over. You cannot "make" it prepaid, as there is no option for it.

If you can live without customer support, and no phone Tab, just BYOD prepaid (the support you have is a forum like this), you could go to public mobile, similar coverage with Koodo. The rate might be cheaper for you, $45 for 2GB, provincial wide calling (90 days plan). There are options to add national minutes or US minutes. So you will be in charge of everything.
