Located in Halifax, NS. I paid 58 dollars online to koodo  ( 57.23 Total was bill due on 26th) Thursday at 11 pm. I've found out today that RBC online takes up to five business days to process payments. Will Koodo consider me late and thus affect my credit score if the payment isn't processed today? Or will they see that I paid it on the 21st ( Almost 22nd)?

It goes by the day that they receive the payment but if it's a few days late the worst that an happen is that 2% late fee. Your credit won't be affected.

Hey Goran,

May I ask how you know it doesn't affect my credit score? I totally believe you. Just didn't know if you work for koodo, have koodo services, etc.

When you don't pay your bill, Koodo just charges you a late fee. Almost like interest on a loan. After a few missed bills it will be sent to a collection agency which then would affect your credit score.

Negative reports to credit score occur after 30, 60 and 90 days of late payments. Standard practice in the industry.

If you made payment on 21st, then your transaction history on self serve should show your receiving date as 22nd or 23rd.   It will take 3 to 5 days to process and maybe its even longer to update on your self serve.  But that's the case on my banking info and transaction record on self serve.

I made my payment on 21st of Sep and my self serve doesn't update yet( as of today).

If your due date is 26th, then you shouldn't get late charge neither if you made payment on 21st.
