Cheaper Tab Prices for people that have been customers for a long time so that they can afford to upgrade their old cell without paying a ton of money for their new upgraded cell I find even with the "tab" the upgrade price is way too extreme it is cheaper if you are a new member then if you are and existing member and just wanting a newer cell you should offer free upgrade cells or 50-75% off at least

How is it cheaper being a new member? The tab is the same and they get the same 15% toward the tab every month. If you stay with Koodo for 4 months you get 4 months of 15% toward the tab, if you have only been with koodo for 1 month you get 1 month worth of 15% toward the tab. When you get into the positive Tab you get an additional 15% tab credits every month that you built based on loyalty

He's saying that he thinks cellphones are free and he shouldn't have to repay the value of his initial phone before he gets an upgrade.

lol... i never read the last sentences. If Koodo did that then plan prices would go up further. I would rather have those who want a new phone pay for the phones themselves instead of higher plan prices being charged to those who wouldnt want a new phone in under 2 years

been with koodo for 2 years even with that if I want a samsung s4 it wants $653.00 how is that a good deal for and existing customer? it shows a new customer on the "LARGE TAB" can have it for $200.00 how is that not better then being a customer for a long time?

Tom,
There is nothing preventing you from getting a Tab L as well. You qualify for a Tab Large just as much as a new customer.
The only difference between you and a new customer is that it seems you still have an outstanding Tab that you have not paid off yet. In that case, you won't get as much of a discount as a new customer, but that's because you took a discount with your current phone that you still have an obligation to (unlike a new customer who has yet to take a discount from Koodo).
So, even though from your perspective it may seem unfair, in reality you're being treated no different from a new customer. You're both receiving the equivalent amount for a phone discount -- except you would split it across two phone whereas a new customer would apply the discount entirely to one phone.

I dont have a big tab and $600.00 for and upgrade cell for a customer of over 2 years is outrageous when a new customer can get it for $200.00

Yes, it's totally outrageous that you might actually have to save up for that big expensive phone that you probably don't even need.

Have you even attempted at going in and seeing if you can get the Tab M or Tab L? Or are you just coming here to complain for the sake of complaining?

This hypothetical new customer you keep going on about ONLY gets the s4 for $200 if THEY GO WITH TAB L! If they stick with tab s, which is the one you have, IT COSTS THEM $550!

Giving better prices on upgrades may not plan well for koodo. As soon as I upgrade I could walk (minus the tab) since koodo has no contracts. Then I could sell my cheaply gotten phone on kijiji for the market price and make some money on the side.

I didnt say FREE I said at a better discounted price for LOYAL customers that have been with the company for a long time and this was a suggestion for KOODO they were asking for them wasn't really looking to get into a debate over a suggestion to Koodo that they were asking for their customers to give them and their isnt much of a better company to take a cell phone to so I doubt Koodo really has to worry about that considering they are ranked #1 for a reason

The tab IS your better discounted price for loyal customers.

Tom, everyone welcomes your idea! And I think the fact that koodo created this site for all of us make them a better company. That said, debating the merits of any idea a healthy thing. :-) Ultimately, koodo will decide whatever we suggest but we can play a role too.

Honestly it's only been rare occasions where I've seen any cell phone company budge on their prices for what people have to pay for the phones (and usually only for people that pay like $300 a month for their phone). As mentioned above you can borrow the same amount as the new client, up to $500, but since you still owe $103 for your last phone you only have 397 to work with to get a discount on the S4.
