The reason I went with a larger provider was that Koodoo does not have the greatest reception away from cities...

Not sure what you are talking about. Koodo uses the Telus network, which shares with Bell. So that should cover most of Canada.

Maybe Rogers may cover a little more but it depends on where you are in Canada. For example, in Saskatchewan Koodo's coverage is much better than Roger's in rural areas.
