My wife's CDMA Bell Mobility coverage disappears January 2017. She still loves her Samsung Cleo flip phone and I am wondering the proceedures to transfer it (if it can) over to Koodo?

There is none. Even if Telus wasn't shuttering its own CDMA network as well in a similar time-line, no CDMA carrier in Canada ever unlocked their cdma phones nor did they accept cdma phones from other carriers. She should take advantage of getting whatever bell is providing to migrate people over if that's all she needs/ wants. Or port over to Koodo as a ne activation. Some of the phones hav a bigger new activation credit than whatever sh would likely be getting from bell. What are they offering anyways?

Or a compromise

Samsung also made a phone called the Doublettime for AT&T in the states that is compatible with Koodo 3g network and has a lot of the same features as the Cleo.

You could pick her up an unlocked DoubleTime for under 100$

Here is an eBay listing for one. (eBay responsibly : I make no promises of the quality of the sellers on eBay. Check feedback and do your research before making a purchase)
