Being charged for data with data selection off

my phone stopped working 4 days ago. I never use data, it's turned off. On the day it broke I was charged $.75 for data, the next day I was charged $9.75 and I didn't even touch my phone. I had Koodo send it away for repair (not yet knowing I was being charged for data), and the next day (when I didn't even have the phone) I was charged $3.75 for data

sometimes it can take time until the usage you actually did shows up, but that sounds a little extreme. You need to call koodo and apply a data block on the phone line and explain the situation to see if credits can be applied. I wouldnt wait long to call 1-866-99-KOODO.

Actually, that would be about 4 MB worth on one of the older plans, before they added the pay per use data saver.
