Canadian ones might have call barring as an option. In phone settings, more settings, but I'm not aware of a way to cut off calls and texts during certain hours. There might be third party apps. Would putting your phone on silent mode or turning off network access overnight work for your needs?

I had note 2. Put it on silent. Answer to all. Silence.

Easier way....turn your volume down. Then again if you do not want calls or text between 11 pm and 8 am. A simpler solution. Turn it off.

11pm - 8am would be overnight. 11am - 8pm would be throughout the day. I believe you would want the first one.

There should be a "Do Not Disturb" option.  A web search using your phone model & that term should provide a number of descriptions and videos showing how to set it up.

Do not disturb might not be available on the note 2. AFAIK, that functionality was introduced with android lollipop; the note 2 was only officially updated as far as kit-kat.

Some phones it is a simple as placing it face down..... easily keeps one from reaching out every time it beeps, braaps or buzzes!

Here is the "Do Not Disturb" option for the Note 2. Just follow the steps in the link below to activate it.
