Beef: Koodo has the phone I want, a ferry ride away, won't transfer or sell and ship

What's the deal? I want a phone that's clearly offered (iPhone 6 64G) but it can't be ordered or transferred from the only store left within 100 miles that has it. I offered to pay for it on the phone and have it activated locally, no dice. I offered to pay for shipping, no dice. I asked to have it transferred, no dice.

So Koodo is basically telling me they'd rather have this phone sit in an inventory closet in a town in the middle of nowhere than sell it to an existing customer. Poor form.

Koodo has never shipped iPhones, for a reason I'm not entirely sure of. Let's hope they change that policy ReaC but that doesn't help you now :(

They're a very hot commodity and very limited so I can see the other store not wanting to let it go, especially since they'll just have to order one again and who knows when they'd get it for their customers.
Why not make a day trip of it and just take a ferry ride to the store that has it, if they even have it still.

At $35 round trip and at least three hours sailing time, I'd rather just buy the phone at the Apple Store in the mall. Costs $120 more, but the two options are about a wash for me.

It just pisses me off that in this day and age a company that sells modern technology would require customers physically be at the same location as the phone, with zero alternatives, flexibility or thought to good customer service.

Shipping the phone with insurance will probably run you the same 35$ Paul is right.

Isn't an iPhone worthy of loosing a days pay to sail the sea and expose your skin to the great canadian weather?
