Bc forest fires

I got a text from a 520-7 number saying "Koodo cares: We hope you have remained safe during the forest fires. Rest assured you will not be charged for any Canada wide calling, text and data usage beyond what's included in your current plan, until July 21st. Please try to limit usage to keep the network open for emergency services." is this legit? Do I have unlimited text and data till the 21st?

If you got this message, then yes it would be until the date noted.  Of course all international and roaming charges still apply

@Dennis: it's understandable as BC forest fires have nothing to do with international destinations :D

I remember cell carriers giving unlimited calls to France and Belgium after the terrorist incidents in those pockets of Western Europe, so this is no surprise.

Anyone in Ontario benefiting from this such as Jru Gordon are lucky.
