BB Q5 cant delete or close unwanted apps

just got a new Q5 and I cannot get rid of unwanted apps. And cant close apps that are minimized!! I have followed the instructions and when I try to delete unwanted app no delete button shows up!! And when I try to close a minimized app by tapping the X either the app opens or nothing happens!! What gives?

What app are you trying to delete? If there's no trashcan next to it when you longpress your apps, then those apps can't be deleted

To close open apps tap the x at the bottom of the apps active frame (minimized tile)

Why would I have to keep the apps game? Also pressing the trash can on the app does nothing. A delete button is supposed to appear when I press the trash can , according to the instructions,but does not why?

Not sure where you saw that, but tapping the trash can deletes the app

Anything that was installed by BlackBerry can't be deleted. I don't know why.

Games is actually a hub for BBM connected games so all of your achievements are stored there. Which is probably why you can't delete it.

What I do is group all the things I don't want and can't delete into a special folder called BlackBerry that way it's contents are out of my way and can even be moved to an unused page

tapping the trash can does nothing i tap it and all that happens it goes back to normal and all the apps are still there.

i can now close an open app but I have to hit the X 5 or 6 times and with a fair bit of force to do it

That's not normal. There may be something wrong with your touchscreen.

Restart the device, but not the normal way

Press and hold both volume keys for 5 seconds

Then try again

Either you're just missing hitting the button or there is actually something wrong with the touchscreen. If restarting your device doesn't work, I'd go into your nearest Koodo store ASAP and send it in for warranty repair

No change, will find out where to take it for repair or exchange only had it for a week.

Take it back to where you got it. They will exchange for you no.problems if you're within 15 days.
