I have the basic text prepaid plan and it's set up to renew every 30 days automatically on my credit card. I'm switching carriers in a few days(sorry Koodo it was democratic family decision) so I removed my credit card number from my account and my 30 days are just about up. My question is, will I still be able to use my remaining talk minutes if my basic plan can't be renewed? I don't want to be without a phone while I'm waiting to receive my new phone but I don't want to be charged an extra $16.95 that won't get used.

6) Talk or Data Booster add-ons don’t expire if account is active. Talk or Data Booster add-ons are available for use only when there is a non-expired base plan on the account. Booster add-ons will be removed from the account upon account deactivation. Anytime minutes are charged by the minute and the airtime required to connect your calls is drawn from the included minutes.

Also note that you will need an active account in order to port your number, if you decide to port it. The provider you are signing up with will be responsible for canceling your account
