automatic data top up

A couple of days ago I ran out of data. I got the 50% text, then the 90% text then the 100% text with options to unpause data. I didnt reply to the text but It automatically added 100MB of data for $7. How is this possible? I didnt authorize the charge. I didnt need the top up because my billing cycle was rolling over in less than 24 hours. I find it weird that they would just do the top up automatically, or is there some setting in my account that grants them access?

Well that's odd. Koodo can look into if you ever replied to the text with "y" or whichever code for more data so send a private message to Koodo via Facebook Messenger or DM via Twitter to contest the charge. If you never replied that you wanted to continue data at your overage rate, then you should have no issues with getting the charges reversed. Let us know!
