Are "Canada-wide anytime minutes" used up during "Unlimited evenings and weekends"?

My apologies if this question seems ridiculous (or if it's been asked), but my experiences with other providers suggest it is necessary to clarify.

I am considering a Canada-wide plan with 500 Canada-wide anytime minutes and Unlimited evenings and weekends (5pm).

My question is as follows: are the "500 Canada-wide anytime minutes" used up during calls made during the evening and weekends? I understand that I will never be directly charged when I make a Canada-to-Canada call on the evening or weekend. However, are those calls eating into my anytime minutes?

Here's a hypothetical situation that I fear: In the first 20 days of a billing-cycle, I make a bunch of calls, all in the evening. Let's assume these calls total 750 minutes (Canada-to-Canada, mix of incoming and outgoing). I make zero calls during the day in these first 20 days. I will thus get charged $0 because I have unlimited evenings and weekends.

However, on day 21, I make a 2 minute Canada-to-Canada phonecall during the daytime hours. Since I have used up my 500 minutes worth of calling in that billing cycle, I get charged for these two minutes ($0.50/min, so $1.00).

Is the above true? It has seemed to be true in the past for other providers. You never get directly charged for calling during your "unlimited hours", but you do have your "anytime minutes" deducted. So when you go to actually use those minutes in the daytime, they aren't actually there anymore: BAM! ... charges. I don't THINK Koodo is this way, but the Koodo website isn't clear.

An alternative way of asking my question: on day 21, after making the daytime call, will I have 498 anytime minutes remaining (and $0.00 of additional charges), or 0 anytime minutes (and $1.00 of additional charges)?

If you made calls during "Unlimited evenings and weekends", it doesn't deduct from your minutes.

So in your scenario, you used 2 minutes during daytime and you have 498 minutes remaining in this billing cycle.

I just noticed that all my "Unlimited evenings and weekends" are being charged by 50 cents per minute. Why? I have a $35 for 300 minutes plan.

Ok. Then it's not long distance charge.
And you have Canada wide anytime minutes, so your eve& weekends are Canada wide too.
I would call Koodo in the morning and they can explain for the charges.
If it was system glitch/mistake, they can fix it. (No charge for billing inquiries)

May I ask what number is it for billing inquiries?

*611 from your Koodo phone, option 5 > keep pressing 0
*611 doesn't use your anytime minutes :)
