Koodo cell service / coverage app
I have an Iphone 5. For most other providers there is a cell coverage app. I tried the telus one, but it wont work for koodo customers.

I am unfamiliar with this app, but tell me: how could an app that confirms cell coverage be any different then the bar indicator? Or is it a map?

I think the OP is referring to the TELUS Network Experience app which is more of a reporting/feedback type of app. 4G,CDMA,GSM,WIFI Coverage maps by Sensorly works ok.

It is an interesting app to have. Not so in the city, but for rural areas with hilly terrain interesting. If you wish, checks your signal strength and download speed and sends it to the provider. I downloaded a few other 3rd party apps like that, none featured Koodo, and 2 out of 5 had telus in the provider list included.

Do you actually think something is done with the data? That would be great, but I don't think spotty areas for example are fixed soon because we told the providers we were dropping calls there.

Basically it's an app to report issues with coverage (such as dropped calls) to your provider.

Basically when you have an issue you open the app, select what the issue is and it transmits your report along with your GPS location to Telus. If they get a lot of reports in the same area they know to check the towers

Weird on my iPhone 5 it tells me my sim card is invalid (using a Koodo nano sim, on an unlocked iPhone bought from Apple).
