iCloud helped me get most data back, where are my text messages, only got a days worth of them?

Hi Dave,
Can you tell more about the "fishing hack"?
You did backup your data to iCloud or local iTune? The backup/restore might not be complete, so you could only get what was there. I would suggest you contact Apple also.

They should have been part of the iCloud backup.
If you didnt get them then I'd say they weren't part of your last backup on your phone and therefore can't be restored.

Carriers do not retain text messages for future retrieval, so , unlike email, they can’t be re-downloaded

How did someone hack your iphone?
Did they have your phone?
Did they bypass your lock screen?
Did they get your icloud password?

They were obviously smart with 5he right equipment, , not s7re how much of my information they got,, they had a duplicate iCloud site etc

Ah so they sent you a phishing email to login to your icould and they took over your icloud account.

Never enter answer personal information or login info from links within emails or even calls made to you.

I always go to the website myself via google or call the company back so I know it is the right company receiving my information

No, they messaged my iPhone , by text. I answered because it was a ad I had on, I was at the time teying to enter my passcode and Failed q a few times, so whempn I rce8vecd a email from app,e saying they noticed attempted failed passcode entry attempts from multiple devices that was what I had done, they sid for security reas9nd they were Temporary closing my iPhone account., I bpbever answers the email.

They took ov r my phone first
