Thinking of switching to Koodo. Looking at $40 text and data plan. It has way more than telus for there price of $70.. how is that possible. Am I going to be paying $40 a month.. or is there other fees added on to that each month? besides tax I mean.

There is an activation fee of $0, a welcome to Koodo fee of $0.

All kidding aside, as long as you do not go over any minutes, 411 calls, using data over the amount already provided, you will not be charged extra. Also, no calling USA unless you want extra fees :)

If you do use your phone in another country such as the USA, there will be roaming fees.

Just to add to what Tyler said, a few provinces have an aditional 911 fee that will be added. It's less than a dollar a month though.

Nope, just taxes! That's how it is with almost every carrier these days. What you see is what you get.

The $40 is now reverted back to the $39 promo that was on for a while. It's a wicked plan for the price point.

Which $70 plan are you looking at with Telus? Telus has Unlimited Nationwide talk with 250 MB for $70 OR Unlimited local talk with 1GB for $70 (add nationwide for $10)? The other option is a 1,000 minute plan with 500 MB for $60 and an optional $10 for nationwide calls to bring it up to $70.
