My time well be limited with Koodo unless they are able to provide 4g coverage in Northern Ontario. I want to upgrade phone but can't because upgrade because Koodo is limited to cdma, so you mostly can not use smartphone from Ottawa to Winnipeg, you can only use it briefly in populated areas. Anybody who travels or does business on the road well quickly learn how frustrating this is.

TbayTel has recently allowed Koodo HSPA access in the Northern Ontario area. It may take time but the service will be there. Looking at the coverage map, it looks like there are several areas where HSPA service is active.

David, I have friends in the Thunder Bay area on Koodo with Thunder Bay numbers on the Koodo HSPA service as well as confirmation from multiple Koodo Agents. You are severely misinformed if you think that Koodo only has CDMA service in Nothern Ontario. I recommend you brush up on your knowledge before trying to counter my point.

You can look at the coverage map for Koodo and you will see the HSPA coverage area.

If you continue to believe that Koodo does not have HSPA service in Northern Ontario, then you are simply being ignorant with a closed mind. Sure, this might come off as rude but that's exactly what you are being right now.

Hey The Doctor!
Doctors usually take it easy on their patients, they do not get them take their pills using rud manners, but yes ! sometimes they have to push little bit harder on them if they know that it's in their best interest. I just got confirmation from one of my buddies with Koodo who confirmed that Northern Ontario was covered with HSPA/LTE since January 18th, 2013

I do try to avoid being rude as it's never nice, but sometimes what I want to say gets the best of me.

Great job on the confirmation though :D.

I am not ignorant I live with this issue it really exists, their is only limited islands of 4g and the vast land coverage of Northern Ontario has no 4g goverage, The local Future shop and Walmart in Thunder Bay have had people return Koodo smartphones because they have extremely limited use on the Highway. Not only does Koodo have this problem but Telus Bell and Virgin has well.

I may have misunderstood your complaint then. If that's the case, I apologize, I was thinking you were talking about in the city. Sometimes Highway service is spooty at best as your going from tower to tower.
