yeah, it's not on either of them at all....seems like they're only available locked through Bell or Virgin.

Curious what's drawing you to want the G4 Vigor so much that your willing to jump through hoops to get it instead of another device?

I used a demo yesterday. The camera and display were really impressive. I love the body. I was attracted to the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3, but little nervous about Alcatel...Feel more comfortable with LG. It was comparable or better, same price point.

Can you not purchase it outright at Virgin? You'd need to get it unlocked.

From what I understood, you cannot. They only sell flip-phones outright. Apparently? You could purchase it in the same transaction as initiating a month-to-month plan with an old phone, and I am wondering if that would work...if I could cancel the month-to-month after a month and just get the phone unlocked. It is a lot of hoops though...

From what I can see, the G4 beat and the G4 vigor are the same phone, just different names for different regions. In this case, Expansys is selling an unlocked model of the G4 beat for $294.95 outright, which is $50 less than Virgin. That's a better option. You'd just have to pay and wait for shipping, but it's still cheaper than trying to jump through hoops with Virgin and paying for unlocking.

Paul has used them before and they're a reliable seller.

That's awesome! Wow! Seems like it is the same phone. What do you make of the network compatibility info?

Telus/Koodo use 850/1900 for HSPA/3G and 1700/2100 for LTE, so you're fine.

This is a dumb question, and I apologize: so, from what I can read, the page says the LG G4 Beat isn't compatible with Telus' LTE network...only with Bands 1,3,5,7,8.  And apparently 1700/2100 is Band 4? So, does it just not matter that it wouldn't be compatible with LTE? (I have no idea...) Or, did you miss that detail? I am soooo appreciative of your help. I know nothing!

Well in this case, it won't work with LTE but that's okay. You absolutely need 3G bands 850/1900 or the phone won't work at all. Data will be slower with this phone but otherwise work just fine.

OK, perfect. Well, further down the page it says: 4G bands LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900)...So maybe it will?

Nope , won't work on LTE
Just 3G and fake 4G (not LTE}
