Sorry to keep asking questions that should be obvious but I just want to make sure of a few things.

I received my first invoice a few days ago and it says payable by Jan. 6th. Now if I pay for it using a transfer from a bank account (or whatever Koodo's equivalent is) does that take a few days to clear?

The reason I ask is because with Jan. 6th being the "pay by" date, that means there's another payday in between then and now (Jan. 3rd) which would free up some more funds for Christmas. But I don't like leaving things that late to pay, and if there was any sort of hiccup or time for things to clear it would be an issue.

Any suggestions? Again first bill so I'm new to all of this.

Hi Taylor,

No worries we are here to help. If you are planning to pay your bill through a bank transfer it usually takes 4-7 business days to transfer. But you do not have to worry if the transfer went beyond the payable by because our system will acknowledge that you paid in time.

It's actually 3-5 business days, not 4-7.

Awesome, so as long as I initiate the transfer/payment before the "pay by" date I won't be late or get dinged with anything? Even if it takes longer to clear.

I figure even if something doesn't work with the online bank transfer, if I wait that long I can just go to the Koodo kiosk on the mall and pay by debit there can't I?

Yep. In terms of paying your bill at a Koodo shop, credit card is the only accepted method of payment (no cash or debit card) because paying a bill is transacted in a different way.

For the online banking, you can print the page of the "complete of the transfer", or keep the confirmation number of the transfer.

And you can always call in to report the payment as well

Koodo's payment system is set up so that bank payments that are made on the due date won't be flagged as late.

I made a bank payment on June 8th and still has not shown up as cleared by Koodo on June 17th?

Hi there, if you paid by online banking, can you check the account number that you used to add Koodo as a payee? If there is a mistake, note down the wrong number and call us at *611 from your cell, option #5. We should be able to transfer the funds. Thank you!
