Annoying billing reminders

So on April 20 Koodo e-mailed me that my bill was ready, I log into my Self Serve account, review it, then log into my electronic banking and pay it. Self service shows they received payment on the 21st and I have a $0.00 balance. Then today I get this text message: “From Koodo: Heads up that your E-Bill is ready. It's $XX.XX if paid by May 11, 2015. Go to koodomobile.com/selfserve & click View E-Bill.”.

I know I can turn off these notifications but I’d prefer not to so I don’t forget to pay them, just the same do they really need to send this reminder three days AFTER they received payment?

It takes 3 to 5 days to process. So chances are system might not getting your payment info on time.

I see you have bill notification set up on both email and text. And it seems you receive email notification sooner. So you can keep your email notification and remove the text notification If you are annoyed by receiving text message after you pay.

I like having the diversity of both methods and the fact they are a few days apart provided if you didn't already pay your bill 4 days before the reminder goes out anyway. No reason to nag you to pay it if it was already paid (and long since posted to the account also).

I should say that it takes 3 to 5 days to show up on Koodo's system if you made payment through online banking. Sorry I didn't explain well ( English is so hard)

Yes, so when I got the text message I immediately checked as I was sure I paid if and sure enough it was paid and posted to the account 3 days before the unnecessary text message was sent.

If this is the first time it happened, monitor it and see if it happens again.
