What if you could transfer tabs within a family account. Right now they are non transferable, but if you did allow this, say once a year would all those to manage their family plans a lot better

Maybe you could elaborate a bit more...

How would it be easier to manage accounts by transferring the tab?

Ok, say I have -150 on tab1 with a brand new phone, +60 on tab2 one year old big user, and +30 on tab3 one year old on a small user. I could then move the money around to So the user that needs newer phones gets them faster, and the others can take hand-me downs within the family

Why have multiple tabs at all? If you have 3 accounts the tab should be allowed to go to 450/-450. I am in the same boat here. I paid off my original phone some time ago, and have been buying factory unlocked iPhones. So my tab balance is high. I sign up my mom to a 20 dollar plan and get her an emergency use flip phone and she has a negative tab balance that will take years (5 I think) to pay off. I'd rather just have one big tab and be able to upgrade her more frequently.

I posted an idea about wiping the tab after 3 years, but this could work as well. I especially like the idea of pooling the tabs on one account.

Right now, 10 people like the idea...wish Koodo would implement it. Frankly I am tempted to move to Fido for 2 years to get two free Nexus 4s (vs. the tab cost) at the same rates I have now then move back to Koodo as they'll entice me with something. Oh wait that's the thread about loyality...and frankly moving your phone is a pain.

So a Koodo rep says its a good idea and then some dude posts that they would never do it? Do people even read these comments?

Sumaya, I'd even be ok with taking a 10% hit to the the tab if it sells it easier. Meaning if I have $100 on my tab I could use it all but only $90 of it would hit the tab of the other phone number on the same account. It would be great for parents managing kid accounts, or as in my case kids managing elderly parents accounts.

My assumption was based on the fact that no other Wireless providers are mixing phone cost/price/tab whatever, I checked on bell/rogers/fido sites etc.. and they do not show any info on their site about this, I agree with you, if Koodo can be the first company to do it like he did invented the Tab, he can change Tab rule also that will be owesome!

Jerry,

You know even the 10% hit is ok by me but would rather it transfer.

Mat,

Koodo is a company, not a he and deals such as this on family plans can (and do) occur elsewhere

This is a great idea :) And if Koodo allowed to doing it, those family members might stay with koodo longer. and they will upgrade their phones more often =more revenues for koodo.

I was trying to sweeten the pot with the suggested 10% exchange rate. Would prefer no loss as well.
